Summer Vacation
Wow, what a special family vacation we had this Summer! A trip to Hume Lake with just us. It was particularly special to bring our family here being that only Jody had been before and its a place so near to her heart. Besides being such a pivotal place in the paths of our lives, its just a whole lot of FUN!! and beauty too!
It was also our first longer trip in our new family van..."Hank" Somehow we didn't get a picture of Hank in the loop, but we will soon. He's a VW weekender with a pop-top. Judah has surrounding view windows on all sides to check out the open road and a picnic table to eat his pb&j's from. Not bad!

After an adventurous "short-cut" ride up to Hume, we enjoyed the lake, some great preaching each evening by a local guy (central coast), and a day trip down to the bottom of Kings Canyon to play in the river.
Judah and mommy took our first paddle board trip which hooked us both! hint-hint daddy.
And after a whole week of fun and new friends we drove down to lake San Antonio near Paso Robles (near our old college turf) for family camp with our church.
It was Hank's first moment to shine and he did!
We all slept well and comfortable, warm and cozy!
We also enjoyed the lake some more and momma even got on a tube with a good friend. So much fun to be young and playful but we're still a little sore.
Judah thought it was just the funniest thing, as can be seen in the picture.
Nap times abound this week as we return to the home routine and get ready for Dad's busy season at work.
There might just be a few last hoorahs before Summer completely closes.

BROTHERS!!!
Brothers are such a special thing and it was fun to have a visit from brother CJ and his family. Two Colt sons now in Bend with baby Brady arriving in April (somehow Brady didn't make these pictures...maybe cause he was quietly sitting in his seat while these hooligans were running a muck).
Although cousins, it feels like a special brotherhood when all the Colt babes are together.
Definitely bound to get interesting as these boys grow up and additions arrive.

Visit with Ruby and Family
What a treat to have the Villas and Ruby up to visit for the weekend! What a great time!
Judah and Ruby were such good pals that we all just wanted to hang out and watch them play.
Cuter than imaginable!
